Hi. My name is Brigit. I grew up in DC, studied Political Science and International Studies as an undergrad and
International Peace and Conflict Resolution in grad school. I currently
manage an academic program in Hong Kong for a small non-profit in DC. Basically, I
get to travel, work with students from across the globe, and talk about
important things like democracy and freedom. Pretty cool, right?
I started this blog for several reasons. The first is that writing has always been a therapeutic process for me - it not only helps me sort out my own thoughts and opinions, but it also helps me uncover issues/questions/points of view/etc. that I might be missing or overlooking. Second, I started this blog to invite others' opinions and responses to what I post. I love hearing what other people think, so long as they are polite as well as informative. Feel free to disagree, but try to disagree agreeably. Finally, I want to use this blog as a tool to inform others about cool stuff that people in the peace and conflict resolution field are doing. There are a lot of innovative ideas being implemented, and this is just another small contribution to getting these ideas out there.
With all that said, welcome to my blog. Please enjoy. And feel free to leave me any feedback as you peruse.
